American Indian Warrior Association
MONTHLY MINUTES
April 3, 2013

This evening we began with Pizza and Pepsi. Thanks to the AIWA President William Buchanan, Ron Bonnin, Ozzie Monge for the pizza, Pepsi and bottled water on the potluck menu. Also attending this meeting is Ben Nance, pow wow singer along with Ozzie Monge, Juan del Rio, Ron Bonnin, Roy Cook and Joaquin Sandoval. The business of the American Indian Warriors Association was called to order at 7:15 pm by AIWA President William Buchanan.

Joaquin Sandoval brought in news from a death in Ivan Samm’s family. It was M/S/P to send a note of sympathy and flowers.

Joaquin Sandoval reminded the membership of the Linda Vista April parade on April 27th. Your participation is requested. Contact JS. . Roy Cook reported on the Veterans outreach conference next week at Pala Casino. There will be two days of informative workshops and Gourd dance on Tuesday from 5-6pm.

We had a review and new, to the group, songs led by Ben Nance for hand drum singing and a practice session of drumming workshop. This too was well received by all attending the meeting.

AIWA welcomes our involvements to be of service to the community and all look forward to positive ideas for next months’ meeting on April 3, 2013. After the final police call clean up of the area the AIWA meeting adjourned at 8:45 pm.

Respectfully submitted:
