American Indian Warriors Association Meeting called to order at 7pm by AIWA President William Buchannan: This session is in Executive committee business format.
Officer reports: Treasurer Joaquin Sandoval presented report on the status of the organizations finances. He also displayed the replaced petty cash box.
Old business: 1. Replaced AIWA design for approval and comment. M/S/P 2. Rez Riders networking for recruitment possibilities. 3. AIWA vest patch update has hit a temporary speed bump.
New business: 1. AIWA Vietnam veterans welcome home possibilities in last week of May. 2. San Diego veterans activities: Stand Down, Veterans parade. Pow wows- Imperial Beach June Honor Color Guard.
Round Robin: Carl LB: Grandbaby is talking and a new grandbaby is expected. Joaquin S: Has been working on family cars. Roy C: Weekend at the SCAIC health fair and Tuesday night with the Soaring Eagles has been an empowering association. William B: Attended Sexual abuse of women in the military (Channel 10 coverage). Grandson and family in Japan safe after the Tsunami disaster.
