MONTHLY MINUTES

July 3, 2013

This evening AIWA President William Buchanan and Roy Cook met outside from 6: 10 to 7: 10pm. Lots of pizza and talk about the weather and fireworks. Summer time and Holidays create their own set of priorities for attendance. Even so without communication those that do attend can feel like the proverbial penny waiting for change. Oh well, change is good, there are always opportunities that are offered in the midst of change.

William attended the Pechanga pow wow and had a hot time in Temecula. He is having a good time with crafts and a self motivated project to improve the Color Guard presence.

I also had a change of routine this past week; I went to San Antonio Texas to visit a long time friend and Special Forces colleague. He is in Brooke Army hospital with a serious health situation. At the same time there was an annual convention of Special Forces Association in town. Alamo, this and that, everywhere.

For those that did not attend the July meeting remember to work on our continuing project. It is constructing a set of ‘loaner’ bandoliers for more individuals to participate in the gourd dance experience.

AIWA welcomes our local and Tribal involvements to be of service to the community and all look forward to positive ideas for our future months’ meetings.

Respectfully submitted:
Roy Cook, AIWA Historian/secretary
