MONTHLY MINUTES
November 7, 2012

Thanks to the AIWA President we crunched the ‘sabrosito tacitos’ and guacamole feast and Pepsi-cola. Also attending the meeting is Larry ‘Butch’ Strickland, Joaquin Sandoval, Juan del Rio, AIWA President, William Buchanan and Roy Cook.

The business of the American Indian Warriors Association of November 7, 2012was called to order at 7:02 pm by AIWA President William Buchanan.


Joaquin Sandoval brought in trick-n-treat goodies for the members and news from the La Jolla VA hospital benefits office. Juan del Rio brought in notice of a major Native American film festival in Los Angeles and Malibu.

1. Roy C. presented a report from the United Veteran’s Council meeting at the AIWA meeting. Additionally he distributed timely and Native American stories and topics to consider and study.



2. Mother Goose parade with the Soaring Eagle 11/18/12- 7am El Cajon.

3. Lot of lunches and dinners: Harvest at Barrio Station 2175 Newton Ave. on 11/10/12, 1pm. Also the Tonkawa lunch at noon IHRC office 11/11/12 and AIWA Xmas dinner 12/5/12 member and one guest

Activities and events:
NOV 9 Free movie screening of the Songs of the Colorado on the San Pasqual Reservation-San Pasqual Tribal Hall 27458 N. Lake Wolford Road, Valley Center, CA 6pm to 9pm. Admission is free. Hot dogs, hamburgers and cold drinks will be provided. Click here for More

Our goal is that participation with other brothers in arms will further the healing process and bring us all back into the world of harmony and balance again. Joaquin S. shared his recent efforts dealing with his grandchildren and his new gifted tablet.

AIWA welcomes positive ideas for next months’ Holiday Dinner meeting on December 5, 2012. After the final police call clean up of the area the AIWA meeting adjourned at 8:40pm.
