PLEASE BRING YOUR COPY OF MINUTES TO MEETING
The location of all AIWA meetings is at 3928 Illinois St. San Diego, CA. Many Nations in Recovery facility. Chet A. Hunt Community Center. AIWA is welcome to utilize the facilities in a respectful manner. (It is two blocks east of 30th St. and one-half block North of University Ave. on the west side of the street.)
CALL TO ORDER: May 5, 2005

POTLUCK: 6:30-7:30pm

CALL TO ORDER: Vice President Larry Smith called the meeting to order at approximately 7:00p.m. Prayer was not given. Sign-In was filled out at the door.

OFFICERS REPORTS:

President: Roy Cook- Present.

Vice President: Larry Smith- Present.

Secretary: Joaquin Sandoval –Present. Minutes were read from previous meeting and approved as corrected.

Treasurer: Jerry Wilkerson – Present. Treasurer’s Monthly report was read.

Sergeant at Arms: Storme Silvercloud – Not Present.

Historian: Roy Cook – Present.

OLD BUSINESS:

* Donations were received by Wellness Conference committee for participating in Conference at the Town & Country Hotel.
* C.I.E.A. committee gave donations for participation as Color Guard at the Town & Country Hotel.
* AIWA participated in Educational Conference as Gourd Dancers at the Town & Country Hotel.
* Questions were brought up about the conditions of the flags. Minor repairs may be needed.
* It was brought up that members should start teaching how to do crafts at the meetings.
* There should be more family/social events where families are involved.

ROUNDTABLE: Everyone stated that they enjoyed the Potluck.

NEW BUSINESS:

* AIWA has been invited to participate in Kupa Days as Color Guard at Pala on Mother’s Day Weekend.
* AIWA was invited to be Color Guard & Gourd Dancers at the American Indian Culture Days at Balboa Park. Elders will be honored.
* Veterans Event will be held on Memorial Day Weekend honoring POW’s killed at San Ysabel.
* On Memorial Day there will be an event honoring Veterans at the Veteran’s Memorial Building at Balboa Park.
