The location of all AIWA meetings is at 3928 Illinois St. San Diego, CA. Many Nations in Recovery facility. Chet A. Hunt Community Center. AIWA is welcome to utilize the facilities in a respectful manner. (It is two blocks east of 30th St. and one-half block North of University Ave. on the west side of the street.)

CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 07:00 May 3, 2006 by President Ronnie Murphy. Prayer was given by Ronnie.

OFFICERS REPORT
President: Ronnie Murphy-Present

Ronnie speaks about Santa Ysabel Memorial Day at the mission cemetery. 29th of May from 11:00 to 12:00 AIWA for flags and would like someone to play Taps. Stand down more info to follow. Yolanda from the VA brought brochures.

Vice President: Jerry Starnes-Present

Secretary: Gary Burrill-Present

Treasurer: George Hyde-Present.

Bank is taken care of/ statement

OLD BUSINESS

NEW BUSINESS

Don informs us that Ed Brown of Barrona passed away
USO- could use donations of coffee, cookies, blankets and small pillows and care packages for GI's. Gary volunteers to bring items to the USO for the group. And get help from fellow TSA Screeners.


ROUND ROBIN
George talks about his New Mexico trip

John Mapu comes to first meeting to teach his family about American Indian ways to better his family. He is of Samoan decent and has lots of contacts with important people in San Diego and Palm Springs. His kids play in Mira Mesa band.

Gary - Gary speaks about helping wounded vets coming through the airport.

George- Back from New Mexico/ Boy Scout Camp went well

Don - Memorial at Miramar/ Son heart problems
