The location of all AIWA meetings is at 3928 Illinois St. San Diego, CA. Many Nations in Recovery facility. Chet A. Hunt Community Center. AIWA is welcome to utilize the facilities in a respectful manner. (It is two blocks east of 30th St. and one-half block North of University Ave. on the west side of the street.)

CALL TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order at 07:00 July 5, 2006 by President Ronnie Murphy. Prayer was given by Don.

OFFICERS REPORTS

President: Ronnie Murphy-Present.

Vice President: Position open

Secretary: Gary Burrill-Present

Treasurer: George Hyde-Present.

Master at Arms: Ida Huhn-Present

Event Coordinator: Temp Stand in Joaquin L. Sandoval-Present

OLD BUSINESS

USO- could use donations of coffee, cookies, blankets and small pillows and care packages for GI’s. Gary volunteers to bring items to the USO for the group. And get help from fellow TSA Screeners. Motion by Don and 2nd by Roy to pay 150.00 for USO pillows/blankets Motion carried by all.

Town & Country at 05:30 June 8, 2006 Ida motion to be there and Gary 2nd motion carred. Ida will bring flags incase we use ours but will use hotel flags and our Staff!

Jerry Starnes put in resignation. Motion by Henry to accept no 2nd motion tabled till next meeting.

Ronnie asked to get money back from AIWA he used to pay dancers and singers for gas at Camp Pendleton. Ida motions and Gary 2nd motion carried by all.

NEW BUSINESS

Aug 6th Admiral Baker Field / Picnic need volunteers to help out.

More flag stands are missing need to replace them looking for chair bottoms.

Town & Country went well!

Vice President position still vacant.

Kiowa gourd dancing practice at Sycuan Gym on Wed’s Tim Redbird will teach. Talked about having a group meeting at the practice to get all involved.

Joaquine brought in hats for honor guard to wear. Jerry motion for the hats to be kept with the flags and to set up memorial fund Jerry 2nd and motion carried by all.

Ida – Shows new baby pictures of WhiteCloud

Joaquine- Hats and e-mail about Home Depot discount for Military. Rin Con Vets honoring.

Roy- Picnic and Kiowa Gourd dancing Wed’s and talked about need to build our membership.

Jerry- Picnic good food. House done Knee giving him problems. Niece coming.

Ronnie- Talking about recruits.

Larry- busy with store re-financed house to do up store. Selling produce next to store. Old Town show 2nd week of Aug. Traders fair.
