SDAIW Meeting Muster: JULY 1, 2009

American Indian Warriors Association meets the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm.

Wednesday AIWA Meeting Report: 6:15-7:15pm. This is a beautiful evening on the mesa overlooking the Mission Bay and Pacific Ocean. The bank of fog cools the sunset over the seashore. It is a fine evening to be out enjoying the evening breeze after a warm afternoon and the usual hectic rush hour traffic.
We are glad to be assembled for our AIWA Independence day meeting. We know the Fourth of July weekend is very patriotic for all our military veterans. Richard Decrane, Ronnie Murphy, Joaquin Sandoval and Roy Cook exchanged information from the American Indian Council community meeting and the Combined Veterans Council meeting. Ronnie M. brought in the SAIGE conference certificate for presentation to the AIWA membership. Richard D. accepted the certificate.

Joaquin S. reported on a recommendation by Roy C. to Paula Brim regarding access to the local State and County legislators at the CVC meeting. She brought the concerns of the American Indian Clinic to the attention of our local politicians. She appreciated the advice from AIWA.
Undoubtedly many of the other AIWA members had family, health or personal reasons to not attend this July monthly meeting.
Respectfully submitted: Roy Cook AIWA Historian, attending.
